Illicit antiquities in the Attorney-General’s house?

Now that ‘Self-Defence [Самооборони]’ (civil order) guards have secured it, protester-tourists have visited Attorney-General/Prosecutor-General Viktor Pshonka’s house in Gorenichi (outside Kiev), too (as they did the president’s residence before). Soon, there will be an entire circuit of literally stately homes, properties bought and embellished with the pay for state work and the benefits of state power. And just as they found suspected illicit antiquities at Yanukovych’s residence, so they found suspected illicit antiquities at Pshonka’s house.

Unfortunately, the evidence for the objects’ (il)legality is not clear. Is it a lack of receipts and licences? Nonetheless… ‘Ancient icons and paintings, a stolen Gospel, holy relics…, a collection of bladed weapons [knives and swords]…, and much more’ was found in the home of the attorney-prosecutor, who had powers of state prosecution and of supervision of the rule of law in law enforcement and judgement (Стародавні ікони та картини, викрадені Євангелії, мощі Святих…, колекція холодної зброї…, а також багато-багато іншого).
