A granite figure of a seated Ganesha – earliest listed source, 1936

This granite (stone) figure of a seated Ganesha came from Tamil Nadu in India in the seventeenth or eighteenth century and had arrived in the C. T. Loo Collection in Paris “by 1936” – but how did it get between the two?

Its auction estimate is $80,000-120,000.
